“He moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, for he said, ‘At last the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.’”
Genesis 26:22
Isaac was a well digger. He moved throughout the land digging for water, but in this passage of Scripture, he had dug many wells that his enemies would then steal from him. There was great contention and strife. But finally, he came to a new place and dug a well, and there was no dispute. He realized that God had finally made room for him.
When you are in covenant with God, you can rest assured that He will guide you to the right place, and He will make room for you. He wants to bring you to a place in your life where you have room to grow, room to receive the blessing of the Lord, and room to be productive.
Maybe you feel like you are surrounded by contention right now, but keep moving forward. We serve the God who makes room for His children!
